Peatland Restoration in Belgium: From Theory to Practice

As part of the international LIFE Multi Peat project, significant restoration work is taking place in the Valley of the Grote Beek, in Belgium. This video offers a closer look at the local implementation of our rewetting strategies. By focusing on restoring the natural hydrology of these areas, we are working to turn degraded peatlands back into healthy ecosystems. The footage highlights the specific techniques used to raise water levels, reduce carbon emissions and strengthen local climate resilience in the Belgian project site.
