During a year, a hydrological study will be conducted by Paludosa research and EcAsCo. These companies have great expertise in hydrology and peat in particular. This study, together with the groundwater measurements, will give us insights into the hydrological situation and allow us to take targeted measures for rewetting and restoration of the peat valley. Results of the study are expected in December 2024. Several issues will be investigated such as:
- The distribution of the peat.
- Groundwater system analysis .
- Surface water system analysis.
- Hydro-ecological system analysis.
- Opportunities for peatland restoration.
